Mike is the brains behind Simply The Best Dog Treats and was inspired to start the website in tribute to his four legged friends  . . . Kea and Ozzy . . . his faithful companions for over 15 years.  Mike's aim is to be able to offer everyone's doggy companion the opportunity to have the best quality, healthiest treats available on the market . . . no matter how picky they might be! Mike  . . . pet champion  . . . cuddle giver  . . . food provider . . . boss . . . when he isn't in his pet shop he can be found out by the riverbank, enjoying the open road on his bike or supporting Sheffield Wednesday.

Meet Barney - AKA The Barnstormer

Barney is our boisterous, bouncy . . . and sometimes barmy, teenager of the family. He prefers being outside rather than in, so spends as much time as possible out in the garden . . . no matter what the weather throws at him! He loves his treats and his toys . . . but can be a bit picky. At the moment his favourite treat are the flavoured yakers which can keep him chewing for days!  Barney  . . . puddle jumper  . . . snowman destroyer  . . . sunshine worshipper . . . the garden is his playground  . . .  his toys are his treasures and woe betide anyone who tries to take them away.

Meet Ozzy - AKA The Raw Expert

Ozzy was our 15 year old lurcher and he was simply the best expert on all raw foods . . . his preference was to find his own treats from the kitchen bin . . . our preference was to treat him to some of the best, 100% natural dog treats available.  That's why you will find his helpful comments throughout the website when it comes to what we think he thought about the treats he used to enjoy . . . and to maintain his stature he enjoyed a lot of food! Ozzy . . . liked to chew  . . . liked to chase  . . . loved to sleep . . . abit of a mischief maker he will be forever in our hearts and missed everyday.

Meet Kea - AKA Lady Penelope

Kea was our wise old lady . . . been there, done that and didn't need to do it again! She took everything in her stride . . . and as a retired greyhound she had a very long stride. She put up with no nonsense and with the rise of an eyebrow you knew exactly what she was thinking. You will find her providing words of wisdom throughout our website and you best listen to her . . . or you will get that stare!! Kea  . . . wise beyond her years  . . . no time waster  . . . took no nonsense and you knew exactly what she was thinking.
